Ipoh, 28 May 2025 - 1. I would like to extend my deepest appreciation to the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia for gracing us with his presence and witnessing the signing of these two pivotal Memorandum of Understanding. His presence underscores our shared commitment to elevating Perak as a strategic investment destination.

2. My sincere thanks also go to the Government of the United Arab Emirates and CHEC Construction (M) Sdn Bhd for their trust and readiness to forge a strategic partnership with Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Perak (PKNPk).

3. The two Memoranda of Understanding signed today by the Perak State Development Corporation (PKNPk) mark a significant new chapter for both Perak and Malaysia.

4. These agreements focus on three high-impact sectors: the development of the Bagan Datuk International Sea-Hub Multipurpose Terminal (BDI-SMT), the establishment of a Halal and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Industrial Hub in Perak and collaboration on sustainable food security initiatives.

5. This collaboration reflects the growing confidence in Perak’s strategic role as a regional investment hub, as well as the state’s commitment to inclusive and sustainable growth. It also signals Perak’s readiness to lead in sectors that will define the future of global trade and economic resilience.

6. Perak is ready to lead and shape the future of cross-border trade. Through strategic partnerships and progressive investments, we are ushering in a new era of growth — globally connected, sustainably driven and anchored in Perak.
