Perak Industrial Resources Sdn Bhd (PIRSB) was established on 4th December 1997 under the Companies Act 1965 and the company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Perak (PKNPk) with 100% equity ownership.
In line with the PKNPk Transformation Roadmap 2021, PIRSB has been classified as "A Subsidiary to be Expanded" through various strategic investments and development of new ventures. With consolidation efforts implemented since 2021, PIRSB is now well-positioned to achieve stronger long-term growth, thereby supporting PKNPk's overall objectives to continue providing sustainable growth of Perak's economy.
PIRSB's main activities are focusing on Industrial Development, Renewable Energy (Smart Solar Street Lighting), Asset & Facility Management, Information Technology (IT Services & Security Software Partner) and Licensed Training Provider.
Redefining Asset Efficiency at Perak Techno Trade Centre (PTTC)
Following the implementation of the PIRSB Group transformation in 2020, PIRSB transferred the management rights of the Perak Techno Trade Centre (PTTC) building to its subsidiary, Pengurusan Murni Sdn. Bhd. (PMSB), which now leads asset management for the PIRSB Group. The leasable area within the PTTC building accounts for approximately 91% of the total space, in line with the original design of the building, which was primarily focused on administrative functions.
The company is also deploying smart solar street lighting solutions across Perak as part of PKNPk's commitment to smart city initiatives.
